Barry Greer began his career as a firefighter/paramedic after graduating from The Ohio State University. After successfully working in the marble and hotel industries, Barry partnered with good friend Yanick Arakelov and entered the wine business with AG Globaltrade LLC the distribution firm for Georgian wines and is proud to be an owner of Silk Road Wines.

Adalbert “Yanick” Arakelov, co-founding partner and CEO of Silk Road Wines, was born in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia. It was when he could not find his favorite Georgian wines in stores, he decided to import them, and is now living the American dream as an entrepreneur by starting and growing his own business.

Sharon Arakelov grew up as a military brat and moved around before settling in Tampa Florida that she now considers home. Sharon invited Barry and Candy Greer to join her and husband Yanick on a vacation to the country of Georgia where they fell in love with the wine, and together formed the Silk Road Wines brand.

Candice Greer is a native of Tampa, Florida, and is one of the owners of Silk Road Wines. In working with her husband, Barry, she considers herself a ‘jack of all trades’ having been an executive secretary, office manager, and a variety of other jobs in the marble and tile industry. Now she and Barry can focus their efforts on their love of Georgian wines.

Gotcha Tsertsvadze, Brand Ambassador and Partner of Silk Road Wines, was born in the country of Georgia. His passion for Georgian wine is contagious. His goal is to help share the story of the birthplace of wine so people can appreciate the culture and history of his home.

A native of Florida, Cameron Wright is the Events Coordinator for Silk Road Wines. Cameron has a strong background in the wine industry, having worked for ABC Fine Wine and Spirits for over seven years. Her enthusiasm for event planning comes naturally, having planned many events for her family’s business, as well as local political organizations.

Keaton Maddox began his career in publishing, working as book editor in Los Angeles. After moving to NYC, he transitioned into the food & wine space, representing Michelin-starred restaurants and national alcohol brands as a publicist. In 2022, he joined the Silk Road sales team in Florida and now acts as the company’s Director of Communications, managing media relations, digital outreach, and brand partnerships, among other rotating hats. He loves natural wines, especially those made with skin contact, and is thankful for the opportunity to share his deep passion for Georgian wine with the world.
