Winemaking & Grape Origin

The Kisi grape is one of over 500 varieties indigenous to Georgia. Nearly extinct around 2000, it underwent a resurgence due to its recognition for producing exceptionally high-quality wines. It is now at the forefront of the modern Georgian winemaking movement. Kisi grapes are almost exclusively grown in the appellation-controlled Kakheti region, with Kakheti white wine renowned for its rich flavors that showcase the unique characteristics of the region’s terroir. Georgia’s controlled appellation process ensures wines from specific regions meet the highest quality standards while preserving traditional winemaking practices.
