FAQ

Smooth and Light, Rkatsiteli and Mtsvane blend

Grown in rich, sandy-clay soils, the Rkhatsiteli and Mtsvane grape blend produces a light-bodied dry Georgian white wine that is a staple of the Georgian wine industry.

The region’s elevation and calcium-rich soils are known for contributing to its elegant profile, which can be considered fruity and floral. The fruity expression is also preserved via classic European style production that minimizes aging.

Tsinandali pairs beautifully with fresh salads, grilled fish, creamy chicken dishes, semi-hard cheeses, and mild herbs like tarragon or dill. It is an ideal fit for summer dining and lighter dishes.

What food pairs well with Tsinandali wine?

As a light, floral, and fruity wine, Tsinandali is best served during warm-weather dining – with light dishes such as fresh salads, fish, chicken, and semi-hard cheeses. It’s also typically enjoyed with Georgian cuisine such as Khachapuri or Badrijani.

Who would enjoy Tsinandali wine?

If you enjoy classic wines like Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, or unoaked Chardonnay, then Tsinandali may be a great fit for your taste.

Georgian wines, such as Tsinandali, are also produced in unique terroirs, giving a character that’s different from wines you may have tried at home – so we highly recommend it to anyone looking to try something new.

Where is the Tsinandali wine region?

The Tsinandali wine region is found 60 miles northeast of the Georgian capital, Tbilisi, on the right bank of the Alazani River. The region is around 15 miles long and includes various vineyards in villages around 1100-2300 ft above sea level.

What is the best Georgian white wine?

Tsinandali is highly regarded as a staple of Georgian wine, but we also recommend Khikhvi, Kisi, and Manavi.
