I have been a consistent red wine drinker for as long as I can remember. I have never been fond of any white wines at all. However, the first time that I tried Silk Road’s qvevri wines (KhikhVi and RkatSiteli), my taste buds went on a journey. I found myself feeling as if I was drinking fresh clean rainwater falling from the trees in the tropics of Costa Rica, or should I say, “tropics” of Georgia. These wines have excellent notes of citrus and the earth. The flavors are refreshing to me because I enjoy green teas. Drinking a qvevri wine should be on every wine drinker’s bucket list. The best wines in the world come from Georgia!
