Description

Semi-Sparkling wine from Georgia

Amber Sec is dry semi-sparkling wine crafted from Rkatsiteli grapes. This is one of the few grape varieties, alongside Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, that can be used to make sparkling wines.

The wine has a clear, light straw color with golden highlights, a fresh bouquet and a harmonious, structured taste.

Even if you’ve never tried your hand as a sommelier before, you’ll likely be able to detect the fruity notes of peach and dried fruits in this wine.

This sparkling wine has a moderate amount of bubbles, so it’s light and easy to drink and just simply enhances the festive mood when enjoyed with good company.

Wishing you successful purchases and a festive mood!

FAQ

What is sparkling wine?

Sparkling wine is a high-quality wine saturated with carbon dioxide as a result of the secondary fermentation of the wine base in hermetically sealed bottles or tanks. During this fermentation, the wine is naturally infused with carbon dioxide and becomes fizzy and sparkling.

What is the difference between champagne and sparkling wine?

Champagne is essentially a protected name for sparkling wines produced in France, in the Champagne region. If a sparkling wine is made in France, from one of the six permitted grape varieties, using the traditional method of secondary fermentation (champagne method), then it can be labeled “Champagne.” If at least one of these conditions is not met, it is simply sparkling wine.

What types of sparkling wines are there?

The classification of champagne depends on its sugar content, production method, and aging period.

Bubbly produced using the traditional bottle method with three years of aging is released in the following styles: brut, dry, and semi-dry.

Sparkling wine produced using the tank method is available as dry, semi-dry, semi-sweet, and sweet.

What glasses should be used for sparkling wine?

Tall, narrow glasses made of glass or crystal are best suited for sparkling wines. In such glasses, the wine looks most elegant and retains its bubbles for a longer time. They also make it harder to take large sips, which could otherwise cause discomfort from the carbonation.
